Passive Houses do not require a conventional heating system, they are heated up by indoor and outdoor sources of heat, especially sunlight. A natural part of Passive Houses are solar panels and facades with sufficient thermal insulation. Special three-layer windows are used that prevent the internal heat from escaping.
